Philosophy

Much more than a simple holiday in Liguria

“Of a city you do not enjoy the seven or seventy-seven wonders, but rather the answer it gives toa question of yours.”

This is our aim at the Hotel Vita Serena: to offer an unforgettable experience, to answer our visitors’ questions, embracing them in a world of beauty, art, culture and hospitality.

We are a small, one-star hotel that aims to give great value and unique hospitality in its genre.

Travelling, exploring, learning

Travelling and discovering new places is not only a way to relax and take a break from your daily routine, but it is also an occasion to open your mind and heart to the beauties around us, to learn something new every day and return home with our eyes full of wonder.

We do our best to make sure this is exactly your experience here.

Why Italo Calvino?

Italo Calvino lived for a time in Sanremo and wrote about the atmosphere, places and characteristics in a perfectly unusual way making him a cornerstone of Ligurian culture.

And we love him so much that we want to celebrate his talent, bringing a small piece of his imagery into our rooms, together with that of other Ligurian poets.

If you are looking for somewhere that can give you an unforgettable emotion for your holiday on the Ligurian Riviera, contact us now and start dreaming!

Set off on a discovery of the wonders of Liguria

The seafront village

The Hotel Vita Serena is located in the centre of the ancient seafront village, boasting a number of Blue Flag beaches and sandy resorts. A very interesting village, lively even in the winter months thanks to its many characteristic shops and bars.

The medieval fortress

The Riviera dei Fiori cycle path

With its view of the sea, the Riviera dei Fiori cycle path runs for 28 kilometres on the former site of the ancient railway line. A breath-taking landscape stretching from San Lorenzo a Mare to Ospedaletti, passing through Riva Ligure and Sanremo. Not to worry if you don’t have a bike: you can hire one just a few metres from the hotel!

A day trip out

Arma di Taggia is just 20 kilometres from the French border and you can easily reach renowned resorts such as Montecarlo and Nizza, visit the surrounding areas and grab a snack in the casino. And if you are a fan of casinos, don’t forget the one in Sanremo, just 5 kilometres away.

The Maritime Alps

Wandering just 40 kilometres into the inland, the scenery changes and we find ourselves in the Ligurian Alps, an integral part of the Maritime Alps. Here we find the highest summit of Ligurian, Saccarello, a place of uncontaminated landscapes, the Tanaro spring and the border with the French Alps.
